Pantechnik appoints Ken Lyon as Non-Executive Chairman

Pantechnik International Group today announces that Ken Lyon, one of the pioneers of informatics development and supply chain collaboration within the logistics industry, has been appointed Non-Executive Chairman.
Ken has 30 years’ experience across various functions with a focus on the use of advanced information systems to manage the operations of logistics service providers, transportation companies, and their trading partner networks.
In recent years, Ken has been associated with a number of start-ups deploying supply chain visibility solutions and previously spent 10 years as VP of Information Systems at UPS helping to establish its supply chain services group.
Today Ken is a member of the Transport Intelligence Advisory Board, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport and the Royal United Services Institute, and a member of the US Dept of Defence’s Highlands Forum. He is a regular participant in conventions organised by the OECD, US DoD and the Government of Singapore.
Commenting on the appointment, Peter Nicholls, founder of Pantechnik and one of the original architects of client server shipping systems in the US in the 1980s, said “I am delighted Ken has agreed to join us.
