Carrier Support Analyst

Pantechnik International, an established provider of software-based logistics management solutions to global companies, is seeking a Carrier Support Analyst to strengthen its customer support and carrier integration teams to work in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam.
The candidate will be responsible for acquiring functional and technical requirements from carriers, write a design for development and assure the quality of what has been developed. Working as part of the support team, you will resolve functional and technical issues raised by our clients, delivering software and maintaining clients software systems remotely.
Our analysts encounter a variety of challenges in the course of supporting client systems requiring a wide range of technical skills. To be effective, they will need to develop a good understanding of the business domain, detailed knowledge of Pantechnik’s software and strategies used to integrate with enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle and a wide variety of ERP and WMS systems. Extensive and on-going training will be provided.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
A Carrier Support Analyst should have:
Excellent written and spoken English
Good working knowledge of at least one additional European language would be a significant advantage
Good communication skills
Analytical, creative and problem solving skills
Technical knowledge of Internet based data exchanges (EDI, XML, FTP, Web Services)
Knowledge of some or all of the following:
Carrier documents and barcodes
Express parcel carriers and logistics systems
Databases (particularly Microsoft SQL) and data structures
Windows server environments
(Reading of) Programming languages such as Visual Basic, C#, ASP
Successful candidates must be able to work methodically, follow up and communicate in a structured manner with their colleagues and Pantechnik’s customers and partners.
They are likely to be educated to UK A-level, HND or BSc level – Netherlands MBO (secondary vocational) level 4 Bachelor of Science level – in information technology, mathematics or a similar discipline. Previous experience in either an application or network support role is useful; the ability to perform under pressure, set priorities and adjust to fast-changing situations is essential.
Remuneration will be based on skills and experience with bonuses paid according to individual and team performance.
